Missing gtk+ icons/font render problems?

On my test weekly system I noticed that gcc wasn’t updated first. The order of things sometimes matter! If you see messages like this error while loading shared libraries: libffi.so.6 during package updates, you are surely affected by this. So if you notice problems with icons go missing, weird colors on gtk apps:

# equo install x11-libs/pango x11-libs/gdk-pixbuf x11-libs/gtk+:2 x11-libs/gtk+:3

the updates also trashed my gdm: after bootup i only got a blinking cursor, so I also needed to reinstall this before even getting into graphical environment.

    ctrl+alt+F1
    login
    /etc/init.d/net.eth0 start
    equo install gdm
    reboot

After system repair all works (icons and fonts) but gtk DC devel version ( http://doublecmd.sourceforge.net/site/eng/snapshots.html ) still doesnt work and freezes in start 😦

Well that solved the ugly icon problems in chromium&firefox but my fash plugin is still broken since that update (I am on a 32bit only machine if that matters).

Mine wasn’t quite trashed, GDM crashes and gives me the contact system admin message. I open a root shell and reinstalled gdm, ran equo upgrade –replay still nothing. I had to stop xdm and startx to get a xsession. yuck.
